Our client based in the Ixopo area is currently seeking a half-day Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and someone that works well in a team environment.Requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience or qualification as a bookkeeper / similar role.</li><li>Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software (E.g. Pastel, Xero).</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks timeously and effectively.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Preparing quotes & invoices (sales team support)</li><li>Journal entries & reconciliations</li><li>General Administration</li></ul> If you meet all of the above, please apply directly here. Half-day Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities: 1. Invoice capture and allocation of bank statement

Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Invoice capture and allocation of bank statement transactions.</li><li>Perform debtors and creditors reconciliations, including monthly payment reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and process month-end journals (prepayments, accruals, provisions, bank reconciliations, and cashbook processing).</li><li>Undertake month-end income statement variance analysis and commentary.</li><li>Perform General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Maintain internal control systems and ensure compliance.</li><li>Complete various Excel schedules with accuracy and maintain data integrity.</li><li>Assist with ad-hoc tasks and departmental support as required.</li></ol>Skills, Experience & Competencies:<ol><li>5–8 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong focus on trial balance.</li><li>Tertiary qualification (Matric and Diploma required).</li><li>Proficiency in Sage One Accounting and Excel.</li><li>Strong understanding of creditors' aging and resolving irregularities.</li><li>Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure.</li><li>Strong multitasking and deadline-driven capabilities.</li><li>Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and reliable with excellent communication skills.</li><li>Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments.</li></ol>Personal Characteristics:<ol><li>Self-managed, disciplined, and capable of handling both senior and processing work.</li><li>Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure.</li><li>Professional, well-spoken, and well-presented.</li><li>A flexible and solutions-focused approach to challenges.</li></ol>
